Pizza Hut will be making the largest Kuwaiti flag shaped pizza this Saturday on Feb 4th on Salem Al-Mubarak Street at 3pm for the Hala February festival launch.
I guess another Guinness World Record is on the way.
Kuwait Elections 2012

Tomorrow are Kuwait’s parliamentary elections so let’s hope everyone votes and does their part in selecting a government that will resolve all the past issues and lead the country on the path of change, improvement and success.
Good Luck!
Kuwaitis could be only 19% of Kuwait’s population
Posted by: Mona
According to AlRai newspaper, the number of Kuwaitis could drop to 19% percent of Kuwait’s population if the government didn’t control the flow of expat workers. Apparently around 188,000 workers entered Kuwait in the past 18 months in spite of the government’s regulations to limit the access of expat workers in Kuwait.
That’s like 1 in how many?

Tickets are available at the VIVA outlets in The Avenues and Marina Mall as well as at the Ice Staking Rink itself.

Cinescape Gift Vouchers
Posted by: Mona
Cinescape has come up with their very own Gift Vouchers, more like Gift Cards. And not one, but four different types for each of their cinema experiences:
Classic – KD6 | Digital – KD7 | IMAX – KD8 | VIP – KD12
Each card admits two persons and can be a nice gift for anyone or any occasion. They are available at all of their locations so go ahead and surprise someone. I wonder if you can pre-book a movie with them before giving it as a gift, a movie someone has been waiting for perhaps. Now that would be a good surprise.
I like how more businesses are coming up with gift cards and vouchers, it kind of makes it easy to give someone a voucher they could use to buy something of their own liking. I still love getting presents though, it’s a whole different experience receiving pretty wrapped presents and wondering what’s inside till the time comes to actually open them and get all excited. But I don’t mind gift envelopes either! Either way, they’re both fun.
Last days of Virgin Megastore
Posted by: Mona
Tomorrow will be the last day for Virgin Megastore at Marina Mall since we all know that they’re closing down end of January. The clearance sale had been going on for a while and I doubt that there’s anything left from what we can see according to BananaQ8. But if anyone’s interested, go take a final look and see what’s up for grabs.
The store was the best and coolest in its early days when it had first opened in Kuwait. I loved the Virgin Cafe they used to have before, even the coffee shop on the 2nd floor was good enough until they closed down both of them. They even had an acoustic rock concert in store back in 2003. Sadly with the all the strict rules and censorship it lost it’s charm and was hardly inviting. But it would still be sad to see it closed down, Marina Mall will be different without it.
What we really need is some good bookstores now. Borders, Chapters, Foyles anyone?

Millions of Milkshakes & Kim Kardashian coming to Kuwait
Posted by: Mona
Just found out that Millions of Milkshakes will be opening up their branches in Kuwait and Qatar in September this year. And none other than Kim Kardashian will be coming for the launch. I’m guessing it will most likely be at The Avenues Mall and we’ll have to brace ourselves for some major pandemonium while she’s here. I wish they would bring someone else.. anyone but Kim!
