Saudis hold conference on UFOs!

Odd as it may sound but Saudi Arabia recently hosted their annual Global Competitiveness Forum (GCF) from January 23rd – 25th and one of the discussion panels was about Contact: Learning from Outer Space to discuss the impact of UFOs and aliens on economic competitiveness. Now this is something which looks a bit out of place in a conservative country like that. Apparently the world’s leading oil energy supplier is taking a keen interest in future trends where new energy systems are developed for mass consumption and hopes to use its enormous wealth as a means of ensuring the future prosperity of its kingdom and citizens. Here is a look at the before and after of the forum.
Could this sudden interest in UFO technology have something to do with the possible UFO crash in Saudi back in Jan 2009? Hmm. First the UN appoints a Space Ambassador to greet alien visitors and now we hear of alien branding and sponsorship.
