Hash got me an iPad on Valentine’s Day! It was such a wonderful surprise because we weren’t planning to do anything since he’s been down with the flu, and besides everyday is special for us :) Well since then I’ve been busy playing with my new toy and getting all my favorite apps I already use on my iPhone. Now I need to get me some accessories.. a case, a dock and the camera cable and memory card reader I read about on Danderma. Any suggestions on some cool apps I should get?

Did Abraham Lincoln really have a secret identity as a vampire hunter? Some imagination otherwise. Looks interesting but some of the action seems a bit much for the 1800s.

Whitney Houston was found dead in her hotel room at the Beverly Hilton Hotel yesterday. She was 48 and the police are still investigating the cause of her death. Jennifer Hudson and Chaka Khan will perform a tribute to her at the Grammy’s today.

Whitney was one of the music artists we grew up listening to along with Madonna and Michael Jackson, it’s sad to see them go.

Here’s a first look at the The Royal Island Beach Club that will be opening on The World‘s Lebanon island in Dubai.

The beach club includes a 100-seat restaurant, cabanas, a lounge area and entertainment facilities. Guests will pay a set fee of AED200 to visit the island while Saturday’s will cost around AED700 with an all-inclusive brunch. The Friday nightclub “Stranded” will be priced around AED250 for entrance and transport. Throughout the week, the Royal Island Beach Club will only be accessible via a 25-minute journey on a private yacht or RTA water taxi. For special events, including the weekly Friday club night Stranded, the RTA plans to run a 100-capacity river taxi from Jumeirah Beach Park.

Looks like it’ll be a new hotspot for Dubai, and where else would they open the first beach/night club on the World Islands other than ‘Lebanon’!

On my way back from work I noticed that they were installing fountains in front of Al Hamra Tower, and looks like they’re going to be musical since they had sound systems around them and were playing music.

I love fountains and it would be nice if all the new good looking towers would have them too with nice cafes around them as well.
