J.K. Rowling’s new surprise – Pottermore!

Posted by:

Yesterday J.K. Rowling launched a mysterious new Pottermore website that only has the logo with the message “Coming soon” and her signature. The site also has its own Twitter account @Pottermore.

There’s no news about when the site will launch or what it’s about. One of the fansites, the Leaky Cauldron, got a preview of the new site and they said that “it is one of the most amazing, engaging, and breathtaking additions to this fandom imaginable.”

I’ve read and watched them all, so I am curious to know what this will turn out to be. Maybe this is the Potter Encyclopedia that Rowling was planning to write after the last book, but we’ll just have to wait and see.

I just got an email from Aramex that their US address for Shop and Ship has changed. They have already updated all the accounts at Shop and Ship but the worst part is that we will have to change our address at all the websites we use, before 1st July 2011.

Well atleast they will automatically forward the orders anyone has already placed using the old address.

Here is the new US address:

Your Name
SNS Account # (remains the same)

Time to shape up for the summer!

Posted by:

It’s been 2 years since I last exercised or ate consciously and although I’m not overweight but I have put on a few unwanted inches so I’ve been getting that panicked feeling to switch to a healthier lifestyle before I get too comfortable being lazy and it piles up and. It all started recently when I started getting very tired and sleepy without doing anything and having low energy levels throughout the day and especially at work.

I basically need to make better meal choices since I eat a lot of sweets and fatty foods plus I’ve got to shape up, work on my muscles and do a lot of strength training. So I’m getting back to following my diet and fitness plan from Sparkpeople.com which has been my favorite website and I’ve been a member since 2007.

Sparkpeople is an excellent health and fitness site that provides a lot of tools and plans for diet, workout and any other health goals for free. It’s so motivational and helpful that you actually get addicted to ‘sparking’ because it takes the boredom out of the whole health plan. I was looking for ways to improve my habits when I first found this website and I got hooked when I started noticing the results.

The site has everything you can imagine to help you start your plans and stick to your goals without hiring a trainer or going to a gym, even those who do can track their progress here. There are loads of articles, tools, workout videos and lots of recipes and meal plans. You can set your nutrition goals and workout preferences and the best part is that you can choose to follow their suggested meal and workout plans or combine, swap or add your own from their huge database. There are personal trackers for nutrition and workout plus weight and measurement with printable reports. It also has a planner to set reminders for appointments or birthdays and make notes.

Another interesting feature is that you can create your personal profile page where you can post your photos, add spark buddies, track your activity feed, spark points and trophies, join groups with common goals and write a blog about your progress and lots more. You know, you’ll actually have to try for yourself because there is so much more in there that I can’t even begin to list down. All I can say is that Sparkpeople is the ‘Facebook’ of health and fitness. You’ll have fun following your daily plans and scoring points to get to higher levels. Oh yeah, you can also download their free apps for iPhone, iPad, BlackBerry and Android so you can track on-the-go.

I’ve joined the 28-day challenge since 1st May and today is my 5th day.
