JoBee

Posted by:

I just found out about an American R&B artist called JoBee who lives in Kuwait and began his music career from here. He is ex-military and last week he released a 19-track Deluxe Mixtape EP called Irresistible Me that features a lot of different music genres. In his interview he said that his experience and the culture in Kuwait inspired his music and made him push a little harder and become a better writer and singer.

He has been touring throughout the Middle East and Europe and is quite successful. His debut album Vocal Stimulation will be releasing early next year.

[Watch] JoBee’s “After the Club” ft. Dalivaa produced by Vybe Beatz, or you can support the artist and [Download] his Album for $7.95.

Dio Tribute Album features musicians from Kuwait

Posted by:

Backstage Metal released a Tribute album to Ronnie James Dio called “To Heaven Through Hell” which was put together by musicians from around the world, and three musicians from Kuwait are a part of it too. Check out the album credits [Here]. I know them all personally and they did a great job!

  • Adel Al-Qattan ex-guitarist for [Benevolent]
  • Bader Nana, vocalist and guitarist for [Terminus]
  • Sajid “Sarj” Masood, vocalist for [Nocturna]

The album is available for a free download with a donation to the Ronnie James Dio “Stand Up And Shout” Cancer Fund. You don’t need to make a donation to download, it’s optional for those who want to.

Just found out that JorZine, an Arabian Metal Webzine has an article about this Tribute album [Here].

Embarrasing moment at Pinkberry

Posted by:

My sister was telling me yesterday that she and mom had gone to Pinkberry on Salem Al-Mubarak Street over the weekend after they got done with all their shopping.

They sat down to enjoy their froyo when Enrique’s Tonight started playing in the store, only that it was the uncensored version! The staff didn’t notice at first but by the time they realized, the song was almost over. They could have left but it was so hot outside that they had no choice. My sister said that it was really funny trying to ignore the song by digging into her frozen yogurt and chatting away with mom as loudly as she could every time the chorus came on!
