I remember all the summer breaks back in the school days when my sister and I would take turns in playing Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat with my brother on his Sega Mega Drive and we would fight so much in real because he didn’t like losing and he hated it when I would corner his character and unleash my favorite combo moves in repeat mode! Lately I’ve played a lot of Tekken and if only it was a Tekken tournament, I would have participated to kick some serious ass.
Hooked to Angry Birds

I am so completely hooked on to the Angry Birds game. I’m already done playing Angry Birds and the Rio version and I just bought the Seasons on iTunes. It says on the Rovio website that this is the #1 Paid App in Kuwait.
Hasbro reinvents Monopoly using unfair technology

Hasbro reinvents Monopoly using unfair technology that prevents you from cheating and stealing from the bank!
The new $50 Monopoly Live is the same as the old game, except that it has a prominent 10-inch tower sitting in the middle of the board. This plastic tower rolls non-existent fake dice with fake dice sounds, manages rent calculations, announces player turns and even remembers how much money you have — all done electronically.
According to the NYT, the tower “bathes the board in infrared light and a camera can see reflectors placed on each game piece” allowing dice rolls to be initiated by just covering your game piece. What the heck?
Leif Askeland, one of Monopoly Live’s designers says that “the tower never makes a mistake” and that disputes are non-existent.
There is no freewill after all.

One more for the addicts

What’s with Zynga and coming up with more addictive games? They recently unleashed CityVille and it already hit 6 million active users in 8 days! Wow, as if Farmville and Frontierville wasn’t enough to have people hooked into the social gaming network.
As with all Zynga games, every new game gets bigger and more complicated than the last one. The new feature in CityVille is the cross-city communication where you can interact with friends’ cities and get franchises and trade goods.
It’s scary how addictive these games can be. People actually build their daily routine and schedule around the time when they have to harvest and plants crops. I wonder what’s going to happen with this one. Wake up people, and unplug your life!

Just came across this funny game where you get to play as Julian Assange and you are required to download 300,000 secret files by plugging your USB in President’s laptop as soon as he falls asleep in the Oval office.
