David Beckham’s Bodywear collection for H&M is going to be available in stores in February. It’s going to be a long term partnership and not a limited availability so I guess we won’t be witnessing a total bedlam at the launch like Versace! Besides, it’s menswear.

Just saw this on the Chocolate & Chocolate blog how everyone went crazy for the Versace for H&M collection at the Avenues Mall branch in Kuwait.

People started coming in to wait from 6.30am for the store to open and as soon as it did, the collection was wiped clean within minutes! Good thing we didn’t go because it’s hard enough for me to shop in a crowded store on weekends, let alone suffocate in this frenzy.

Here’s a little reminder which is probably not needed since we all know what happens at the H&M stores in Kuwait and worldwide when they launch their designer collaboration collections. In any case as I posted previously, tomorrow is the launch of the Versace for H&M collection at their Avenues & Marina Mall stores, so get ready ladies!

We received an invitation from Alshaya for their exclusive event to be one of the first to preview and shop the collection at 8am tomorrow but had to decline sadly since we have work the same day.

Now this is one collection that I’d love to own each piece of! H&M teamed up with the costume designer for the new ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ movie, Trish Summerville, to create a fashionable version of Lisbeth Salander’s dark edgy look. So there’s going to be ‘leather jackets and trousers, torn jeans and slouchy hoodies in industrial shades of black, grey, worn white or dark red’. The collection will have an exclusive debut at the boutique Colette in Paris on 28th November and will then be available in stores worldwide on 14th December.

Hash & I loved the original movie that was dubbed in English and Lisbeth’s character, and now the David Fincher’s version comes out on December 26th. Roonie Mara got a whole new makeover for this movie but we personally prefer Noomi Rapace’s look from the 2009 version.

I spotted a new branch of Max opening up in Kuwait City in Jawhara Tower on Ali Al-Salim street.

Max is the value fashion retail store that belongs to the Landmark Group which also owns Centrepoint and Splash.

H&M’s new Conscious Collection for Fall 2011 is available in stores now. The collection is inspired by the romantic Swedish folklore and is very feminine featuring embroidered wool coats, lace blouses, floral printed dresses and shoes that are perfect for the fall season.

I just found out that Anya Hindmarch, the British luxury handbag designer who designed Catherine Middleton’s official bags for her wedding and honeymoon, will be coming to Kuwait sometime next year. They have signed a deal with Qatar’s SH Almana Co for the Middle East and they’re planning to open the first store at Dubai Mall early next year with further stores in Abu Dhabi, Kuwait and Qatar.
