Awards for eco-conscious Kuwaitis
Posted by: Mona
I spotted this article that seemed pretty surprising. Apparently the Kuwait Municipality is going to hold a special ceremony on April 25th to award the environmentally aware Kuwaiti residents of Yarmouk, Surra and Qortoba. They’re doing this to encourage more people to conserve and reduce wastage of electricity and water in order to protect Kuwait’s natural environment. Sounds like a good move by the Municipality, but why just the three areas? They’ll also be giving awards for the prettiest and tidiest garden.
